For decades Australia has been identified with wonderful (and expensive) Shiraz; also with inexpensive everyday wines that offer good value for the price. But there are great Australian wines that remain undiscovered by many New World wine enthusiasts.
Some of the best values in dessert wines are coming from Australia. Great Ports, Muscadelles and Muscats are available for prices around US$15/375ml from mail order wine merchants such as Woodland Hills Wine Company in Los Angeles.
